From the Executive Director’s Desk
Hello everyone! Here it is, 2025, and I hope your year started with a bang! There are going to be a few differences in our alumni reunion this year. For one, we will be reducing our CME schedule to only one day – on Friday, July 18. This was done to reduce costs and because we have had some difficulty looking for speakers. The cost to hold the CME has also risen exponentially. I hope you all understand. However, we still have excellent speakers this year and I hope that we get great attendance from both the practicing physicians and the retirees.
JUNE 15 is THE FINAL DATE FOR HOTEL RESERVATIONS. However, we are only contracted for 40 rooms for July 17, 70 for July 18, and 70 for July 19. When those rooms have been reserved, we MAY be able to ask for more but only at a space available basis. So, ayaw mo pagdugaydugay! The earlier you reserve, the better. Caesars has also been generous enough to give us 3 days before and 3 days after (again on a space available basis) at the same rate. The link to reserve is in our ASOCIMAI.ORG website. It is actually so much easier to reserve through our website and also easier to pay your dues and events. We hope however, that you help out by adding to your payment the Venmo or Paypal fee. We also request that every member pays their dues whether they attend or not. We have not raised our dues at all hoping to encourage alumni to register.
JUNE 15, 2025 IS THE DATE FOR FINAL PAYMENT OF THE EVENTS AND MEMBERSHIP DUES. 2024 was a banner year for us because nearly everyone paid in advance. Please let us do this all the time now. It made such a difference. We were all able to enjoy ourselves without anyone having to scramble to find seats. We have to give final numbers for the food by 10 AM on July 15 so having those numbers 48 hours prior would save Leni and me a lot of heartburn!
If any of the Jubilarians from the jubilee years (years ending in 0 and 5) wish to have a souvenir book, please email your printer- ready page by MAY 15 to DR. MARILYN DIGAMON BELTRAN at beltranmd@aol.com. Have your computer- savvy children, grandchildren or friends do it for you. You can add as many pictures as you want on your page but remember that the more pictures there are, the less clear they will be. Each page should be 8x11 inches. PLEASE SEND IT AS WORD DOCX and NOT as a PDF. The rest of the details regarding this are in our invitation and in our website: WWW.ASOCIMAI.ORG. The souvenir program and t-shirts are a great fund- raising tool for us. Last year, we raised enough money to fill our coffers. We also had several generous donors which helped us get in the black for once!
Lastly, if you know anyone who may be a jubilarian or may be someone who has never been to any of our reunions, please tell them to send me their full name, year graduated, address, phone numbers, and email address so we can update our membership roster.
With affection,
Risë
